Packable and Delicious Lunches: More than a Sandwich!

Please join the Office of Community Engagement for the second-of-three wellness series virtual presentations. We will focus our second webinar on making healthy lunches for you and your family.

Check out some of these delicious recipes: 

• Breakfast

  Two recipe demonstrations that are interactive with children:

  • Peanut Butter Power Toast
    • To follow along with the demo, complete Step 1 ahead of time. 
  • Burstin’ Blueberry Overnight Oats
    • To follow along with the demo, crush the graham crackers and rinse ½ cup fresh blueberries beforehand. 
• Snacks

  Two recipe demonstrations that are interactive with children:

  • Funny Animal Face Treats
    • To follow along with the demo, make sure your bread is toasted beforehand.  
  • Ants on Log
    • To follow along with the demo, rinse 4 fresh celery stalks and cut each stalk in half beforehand.
• Lunch

  Two recipe demonstrations that are interactive with children:

  • Crispy Chicken Wrapped Up
    • To follow along with the demo, make sure your chicken strips are cooked ahead of time. 
  • Mac and Cheese Muffins
    
    • To follow along with the demo, complete steps 2 & 3 ahead of time.
• Dinner & Dessert

  Two interactive recipes that children can help make:

  • Naan Easy Pizza
  • Strawberry-Banana Pops
    
    • To follow along with the demo, rinse and chop your fresh strawberries beforehand. 

Child Engagement Activity

Complete the Fruit and Veggie Crossword Puzzle for a chance to win a special prize!

The first child to submit a correct puzzle prior to July 14th will receive a personalized cooking class with a chef and the winner may bring four friends. Parents/caretakers are also invited.
