MSM Alumna Ebony Andrews Wins 2015 Miss Black US Ambassador Scholarship Pageant
Atlanta, GA - On the evening of Saturday, June 27 at the Rialto Center for the Arts in Atlanta, the Miss Black US Ambassador Scholarship Pageant held its 2015 National Pageant. Ebony Andrews, a graduate of Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM), was crowned Miss Black US Ambassador 2015 and Mariah White was crowned Miss Black Teen US Ambassador 2015.
Newly crowned Miss Black US Ambassador 2015, Ebony Andrews, represented Maryland at the National Pageant. During her time as Miss Black Maryland US Ambassador, Ebony advocated for her platform: Empowered Me: Living with Purpose on Purpose, which encourages people to pursue personal development and make decisions that lead them to become their best selves through community engagement and meaningful actions. She is an alumna of MSM having graduated from the Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) program in 2011. Ebony joined the President's Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition in November 2014 as an Oakridge Institute of Science and Education (ORISE) Fellow and currently leads the federal Sports for All initiative and supports programming and communications for Let's Move!-related activities. She has a strong passion for health and fitness and, during her reign as Miss Black US Ambassador 2015, plans to launch For the Love of Fit, a series of fun and engaging community-based health and fitness events which she hopes will spark a love for fitness and healthy living throughout communities.

providing educational forums and events that focus on health disparities, poverty,
violence and major issues plaguing the African American community. They are role models
not only to young African American women, but to women around the world. Ambassadors
of Change partner with key political figures and national initiatives to bring support
to their efforts and platforms.
The Miss Black US Ambassador experience is more than a competition. It’s a scholarship program that gives 365 days of support and resources to communities in need. A platform for today's savvy, intelligent and socially aware women of color to express their educated viewpoints, demonstrate their extraordinary talents and showcase not just their pretty face, but their gorgeous mind. The crowned national Ambassadors receive scholarship opportunities to further their education.
