Veronica Thierry Mallett M.D. MMM is a dynamic physician healthcare executive with 25 years of leadership experience. Currently she is serving as the Chief Administrative Officer for CommonSpirit Health More in Common Alliance (MICA) in partnership with Morehouse School of Medicine. In 2021 she joined Sharecare Corp as an independent board director joining with the company SPAC rollout as a public company. Her experience managing P/L for the clinical operations of Meharry Medical Group while Dean of the School of Medicine at Meharry in addition leading clinical operations at the Texas Tech El Paso faculty practice led to her appointment on the audit and compensation committees for the company.
In her role as board director Dr. Mallett provided governance, advice, and guidance during a dynamic chapter across the sector. Headwinds in the digital health market led to the company’s decision to pursue a sale and return the company to the private sector.
Her independence as a board director, knowledge of healthcare and innate “deal instinct” made her a valued member of the special committee responsible for vetting bids, guiding toward sale while providing significant, immediate and certain value to the shareholders and making sure the company remained a “going concern”. The company announced its acquisition by Altaris LLC October 22, 2024.
In addition to the knowledge and experience gained during the merger Dr. Mallett previously served as President and CEO of Meharry Medical College Ventures (MMCV), the investment, innovation arm of MMC. During her tenure as President Dr. Mallett led the creation of the strategic plan for MMCV, set up internal controls, due diligence process and investment strategies establishing the direction and foundation, while managing a 1.5 million dollar start up fund.
